Arbors for Disc Buffs
Arbors are used to connect buffs to an electric hand drill, motor or drill press. They are the proper size to accommodate PIMO'S 6" diameter buffs for tripoli, carnauba, and final buffing. Each buff should have its own permanent arbor to insure that they run true. |

WAXES
Quality pipes are waxed, buffed or oiled, not varnished or lacquered. Waxes are easily rubbed in; carnauba is better buffed. To smooth the friction of the tenon in the mortise use yellow beeswax.
When using buffing compound, if you don't have a buffer, mount your hand drill as shown on page 55 of the Pipe Crafting Guide. Fasten the muslin buff on a 1/2" arbor and proceed as shown on pages 92 to 94 of the Pipe Crafting Guide. Use the flannel buff for the final buffing without compound. |
